Extreme Character Challenge

Fred Goodfellow introduced us to a fantastic 4-day activity for men within a Christian framework: the 4th Musketeer Extreme Character Challenge (XCC), an international movement, a band of brothers. The aim of the XCC is to lead men to the highest place on earth, the foot of cross, in a way they have never experienced before.

Fred brought to us a first-hand account of a challenging and character-building trek across the Continental Divide in the Canadian Rockies. Another in our community, François DuPreez, joined with the brothers in the Michigan version of the XCC. Both are convinced that regardless of age, this is a must-do activity for those desiring to learn about who they are as men in Christ.

Fred played for us a brief video, an overview of the purpose and the nature of the activity.

Several of us have committed to be part of an 8 to 10-man team for the next event this summer 2019, June 6-9, the Continental Divide in Alberta. To participate as part of our team, each person registers separately, making sure to include “BSF Fred” in the comments section during registration. Find more info and a registration link in the XCC website – Canada.

We were encouraged by the site’s last line challenge:

“If you think you can’t. that is precisely the reason to come. If you think you don’t need it, you are in great need…Are you up for the challenge?”

Ok, Fred, we’re on.

From François:
XCC Michigan in October is another opportunity to take part in a movement that will connect you as a man to your Creator.
A bunch of guys from Montreal’s Church 21 will be going. Feel free to join in and let François know if you would like to coordinate rides and travel plans.
